iQOO has introduced the iQOO Z9 in India, expanding its Z series with a device that features a MediaTek Dimensity 7200 5G processor and a Sony IMX 882 rear camera system. The smartphone is set to go on sale via the iQOO e-store and Amazon.in, with special early access for Amazon Prime members starting March 13th.

iQOO announced the release of the iQOO Z9, a smartphone boasting significant specifications such as the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 5G 4nm processor and a Sony IMX 882 rear camera system, on March 12, 2023, in New Delhi. The device is heralded for its advanced features, including 4K video recording capabilities with OIS, a 120 Hz AMOLED display with 1800 nits peak brightness, and Dual Stereo Speakers. Designed with a focus on style and functionality, the smartphone is available in Brushed Green and Graphene Blue, showcasing a bold rear camera module and a brushed textured design, all within a slim 7.83mm profile.

Nipun Marya, Chief Executive Officer at iQOO, emphasized the device’s appeal to multitasking Gen Z consumers, noting its advanced photography features and stylish design. Ranjit Babu, Director of Wireless and Home Entertainment at Amazon India, highlighted the iQOO Z9 5G’s potential impact on the performance-centric smartphone market, especially among e-sports enthusiasts. He also detailed the early access and special offers available for Amazon Prime members.

The iQOO Z9’s camera system includes a 50MP Sony IMX 882 OIS rear camera, a 16MP front camera, and a 2MP Bokeh Camera, offering enhanced portrait photography capabilities and superior night-time imaging through OIS and advanced AI algorithms. Video features are robust, with 4K @30fps recording supported by OIS for stable, high-quality footage.

The smartphone’s performance is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset, which, along with iQOO’s optimizations, promises top-tier multitasking and gaming experiences. The device also boasts a bright AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate, designed to deliver a seamless visual experience. Additional features include a 5000mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge technology, expandable storage up to 1TB, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The iQOO Z9 also offers an enhanced gaming experience with its Ultra Game Mode, Motion Control, and 1200Hz Touch Response Rate.

As part of iQOO’s commitment to local manufacturing, the Z9 will be produced at vivo’s Greater Noida facility, with after-sales support provided through over 670 company-owned service centers across India.
