Beatoven.ai, a pioneering AI music generation platform from India, has recently secured $1.3 million in funding to enhance its innovative offerings. This Bengaluru-based startup, co-founded by IIIT-Allahabad alumni Siddharth Bhardwaj and Mansoor Rahimat Khan in 2021, is dedicated to making music creation accessible, affordable, and royalty-free for content creators worldwide.
Beatoven.ai leverages advanced AI to allow users to create customized music tracks effortlessly. Whether for videos, podcasts, or games, the platform provides a diverse library of mood-based music that can be tailored to any content. The recent funding will be used to improve the platform’s music quality and accuracy, develop intuitive editing features, and expand its global user base, which currently stands at over 1 million, with significant revenue coming from international markets like the US, Europe, and South Korea.
In a recent financial boost, Beatoven.ai secured INR 11 crore (approximately $1.3 million) in a pre-Series A funding round led by Capital 2B and IvyCap Ventures, with contributions from several other investors. This investment will further the development of more nuanced AI models and user-friendly editing tools, enhancing both the quality and accessibility of music production on the platform. The funding is also earmarked for expanding the company’s artist network from 200 to 500 in the next few years, fostering broader collaborations within the music industry.
With a commitment to democratizing music production, Beatoven.ai offers a variety of subscription plans, including a free version allowing unlimited track creation, and paid options for those needing more extensive features and download capabilities. The platform’s approach to providing tools for generating music based on textual or multimedia prompts sets it apart, offering unprecedented creative freedom to its users.
The platform is designed to be user-friendly, ensuring that even those with minimal musical knowledge can generate original soundtracks for their content. It also focuses on ethical practices in data sourcing and supports independent musicians through collaboration. Looking forward, Beatoven.ai plans to incorporate a wider range of music styles, including ethnic music from various global cultures, to enrich its offering.
