Nissan Commences Deliveries of Flagship X-Trail SUV

Nissan has begun delivering its top-of-the-line SUV, the X-Trail, to customers in India. The recently launched model is currently being imported as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), making it a high-end option in the market. The X-Trail is available in a single, fully-equipped variant, with an ex-showroom price of Rs 49.92 lakh. It primarily competes with SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Hyundai Tucson.

X-Trail’s Powertrain and Efficiency

The X-Trail is powered by a 1.5-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine, coupled with a 12-volt mild-hybrid system. This engine, featuring variable compression technology and turbocharging, generates 160 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The SUV also includes an automatic start/stop system and offers three driving modes – Eco, Standard, and Sport – to further improve fuel efficiency.

Nissan Expands its Network in Bengaluru

In addition to commencing X-Trail deliveries, Nissan has also recently opened two new showrooms and a high-capacity workshop in Bengaluru. Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL), highlighted the significance of the Southern region and Karnataka as key contributors to Nissan’s sales in India. He emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing customer experiences and meeting the growing demand for Nissan products.

Vatsa further stated that the new Jubilant Nissan touchpoints will strengthen their presence in Karnataka. He also expressed confidence in their CBU business plans in India, with the delivery of the first 4th Generation X-Trail to a former X-Trail owner and Nissan enthusiast serving as a testament to their commitment.

Nissan’s commencement of X-Trail deliveries and the expansion of its network in Bengaluru signify the brand’s proactive approach in the Indian market. The introduction of the X-Trail, a premium SUV with advanced features, aims to cater to the discerning Indian customer. Coupled with the strategic expansion of showrooms and workshops, Nissan is demonstrating its commitment to providing a superior customer experience and solidifying its position in the competitive Indian automotive landscape.
