BSNL and MTNL 5G: Superfast Speeds on the Horizon

BSNL and MTNL 5G
BSNL and MTNL users are in for a treat! DoT has begun 5G testing, promising superfast speeds soon. The future of connectivity looks bright.

Exciting news is on the horizon for BSNL and MTNL subscribers as the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) initiates 5G testing, paving the way for lightning-fast internet and network connectivity in the near future.

MTNL Joins the 5G Race

Following BSNL’s footsteps, MTNL, the state-owned telecom company serving Delhi and Mumbai, is gearing up to offer 4G services soon. Additionally, the company is also preparing to launch its 5G service. The DoT recently shared a screenshot showcasing MTNL’s 5G network testing, emphasizing its “Made in India” nature, utilizing domestically manufactured equipment. Similar to BSNL, MTNL’s 5G service is undergoing testing by the government institution C-DoT.

Successful BSNL 5G Trials

C-DoT recently conducted a successful trial of BSNL’s 5G service on its campus, during which Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia made a video call using the network. The trial was conducted on the 700MHz spectrum band, one of the bands allocated to BSNL for 5G deployment. BSNL’s 5G service trial is being conducted at the C-DoT campus, an agency of the DoT.

BSNL’s 4G Expansion and 5G Trials

BSNL is actively expanding its 4G network across the country, aiming to install 100,000 mobile towers, with 75,000 expected to be operational by the end of September. Meanwhile, the company is also conducting 5G trials at the C-DoT campus. Although offers for trials have been received from multiple companies, no company has been selected yet.

With 5G testing underway for both BSNL and MTNL, users can anticipate a future of superfast internet and network connectivity. BSNL’s ongoing 4G expansion and 5G trials further solidify the commitment to providing enhanced telecommunication services to its subscribers.
