In a resounding testament to India’s burgeoning music scene, JBL and world-renowned DJ Martin Garrix have selected two talented Indian artists, Kunal Kumawat and Saachi Rajadhyaksha, to participate in the exclusive JBL x Martin Garrix Music Academy in Amsterdam this November. This marks the second consecutive year of the academy, a unique platform designed to unearth and foster the next generation of musical stars.

India’s Musical Diversity Takes Center Stage

India’s passion for music was on full display with a remarkable 229 entries, topping global submissions. This initial phase saw the selection of 15 participants who were tasked with creating unique soundtracks. Six of these promising tracks were further honed under the expert guidance of mentors Oaff Music, Karan Kanchan, and Vasuda Sharma. These refined compositions, reflecting India’s vibrant #HeartOfSound, were then shared on Instagram and evaluated by Team Garrix on a global stage, culminating in the final selection of Kumawat and Rajadhyaksha.

A Platform for Musical Growth and Industry Insights

The Music Academy offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for aspiring musicians, songwriters, singers, and producers to immerse themselves in the industry. Participants gain invaluable insights through in-depth workshops led by leading figures like Martin Garrix himself, covering music creation, branding, and the often-overlooked business aspects of the industry. This holistic approach equips these rising stars with the knowledge and connections to navigate the complex world of music successfully.

JBL’s Continued Support for Emerging Talent

JBL’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent goes beyond the Music Academy. Past participants from the Class of 2023 have been granted opportunities to showcase their music on prestigious platforms such as the Montreux Jazz Festival and the JBL Snow Party. This continued support underscores JBL’s dedication to fostering the growth and visibility of new artists.

Empowering the Future of Music

Yogesh Nambiar, Marketing Director of HARMAN India, highlights JBL’s belief in music’s transformative power and the importance of providing emerging talent with the tools and opportunities to thrive. Through initiatives like the JBL x Martin Garrix Music Academy, JBL aims to empower the next generation of musicians, connect them with industry leaders, and shape the future soundscape. This collaboration showcases a shared commitment to fostering a vibrant and dynamic music community, ensuring that the #HeartOfSound continues to beat strong in India and beyond.
