The iQOO 13, expected to launch alongside OriginOS 5 in China on December 9th, has been making headlines. This upcoming flagship smartphone is rumored to be among the first to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. A recent Geekbench listing appears to confirm this, showcasing the device with the model number V2408A, which has also been spotted on the 3C certification site.
Performance and Software
The Geekbench listing reveals an octa-core Qualcomm processor with six cores clocked at 3.53 GHz and two cores at 4.32 GHz. This aligns with expectations for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, set to be officially unveiled at the Qualcomm Summit later this month. The listing also indicates that the iQOO 13 will run Android 15 and pack 16GB of RAM. In the benchmark tests, the device achieved a single-core score of 3,072 and a multi-core score of 9,518.
Design and Display
A teaser image for OriginOS 5 offered a glimpse of the iQOO 13’s design, revealing flat edges, thin bezels, and a punch-hole display. The aesthetics seem to draw inspiration from the iPhone 16 and Galaxy S24. The display is expected to be a 6.7-inch 2K BOE panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, slightly smaller than the 6.78-inch screen found on its predecessor, the iQOO 12.
Hardware and Features
The iQOO 13 is rumored to incorporate a new VC cooling system with a single-layer motherboard. Additional features may include an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance and an ultra-sonic fingerprint sensor. Storage options could reach up to 512GB.
Camera System
In the camera department, the iQOO 13 is anticipated to feature a triple 50MP setup: a 50MP Sony IMX921 primary camera, a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL JN1 ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP Sony IMX826 telephoto lens.
Battery and Charging
The device is tipped to pack a substantial 6,150mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. This represents a significant increase in battery capacity compared to the 5,000mAh cell in the iQOO 12, though the charging speed has been slightly reduced from 120W.
