Nothing has announced a reveal date for its highly anticipated Phone (2a) Community Edition. After an initial announcement in March, the company will share full details of the smartphone at its next quarterly update on October 30th at 11:00 GMT (4:30 PM IST). This unique project involved the Nothing community at every stage of development, from design to marketing campaign.

Stage 1: Hardware Design

The first stage, which concluded in March, focused on the hardware design of the phone. The winning design features a striking “glowing radium” aesthetic on the back, reminiscent of a firefly, as teased in the launch invite.

Stage 2: Wallpaper Design

In May, the focus shifted to wallpaper design. The community selected “Connected Collection” as the winning design, which will come pre-installed on the Phone (2a) Community Edition.

Stage 3: Packaging Design

June saw the community contributing to the packaging design, aiming to complement the chosen hardware and wallpaper. The winning entry, “Less is More,” features a green theme.

Stage 4: Marketing Campaign

The final stage in July centered on the marketing campaign for the Phone (2a) Community Edition. The community chose “Find your light. Capture your light” as the winning tagline and creative direction.

Nothing is expected to reveal all the details of the Phone (2a) Community Edition, including its price, at the October 30th event.
