Mahindra is poised to unveil two new electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6e, further solidifying its commitment to sustainable mobility. These vehicles, built on the innovative INGLO platform, promise advanced technology, impressive range, and rapid charging capabilities.
Mahindra INGLO Architecture: Battery & Range
The INGLO Architecture is a dedicated electric vehicle platform designed to accommodate two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. Mahindra claims this platform will deliver best-in-class range and efficiency, utilizing LFP (Lithium iron phosphate) batteries for enhanced safety and durability. With support for DC fast charging up to 175 kW, charging from 20 to 80 percent can be achieved in just 20 minutes. This architecture allows for power outputs ranging from 170-210 kW (231-286 hp). Initially, the EVs will likely feature a rear-wheel-drive system, with the potential for an all-wheel-drive system in the future.
Mahindra XEV 9e
Exterior Design
The XEV 9e draws inspiration from the XUV 700, presenting an electrified coupe aesthetic. Its striking front end features a prominent triangular headlight setup with connecting DRLs spanning the width of the vehicle. Character lines accentuate the SUV’s muscular stance, while an illuminated logo adds a touch of modernity.
Cabin & Features
The XEV 9e boasts a completely redesigned dashboard with a triple-screen setup, likely comprising three 12.3-inch screens powered by Mahindra’s Adrenox software. A two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo and a center console reminiscent of the XUV700 further enhance the interior. The XEV 9e is expected to inherit all the features of the XUV 700, with additional enhancements.
Mahindra BE 6e
Exterior Design
The BE 6e embraces a modern and aggressive design language, characterized by sharp lines and prominent wheel arches. Angled headlights and J-shaped DRLs contribute to its distinctive appearance. A hood scoop, potentially serving an aerodynamic function, and an illuminated BE logo on the hood add to its visual appeal. Aerodynamically optimized wheels complete the exterior design.
Cabin & Features
The BE 6e features a twin-screen setup with two 12.3-inch screens in a floating wraparound configuration. A two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo complements the driver-centric cockpit. A large glass roof enhances the sense of spaciousness. The BE 6e will be equipped with advanced features like ADAS and a 360 camera.
