Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Design and One UI 7 Interface Leaks
Leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra reveal a rounded design, repositioned S Pen slot, and One UI 7 with rounded UI elements and a revamped quick settings panel.

The rumor mill is churning with exciting leaks surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, expected to launch early next year. Following a recently leaked video, fresh images have surfaced, providing a more detailed glimpse of the device’s design and the upcoming One UI 7 software. These images, reportedly originating from a Reddit user and subsequently obtained by Android Authority, showcase the alleged Galaxy S25 Ultra from various angles, revealing key design elements and interface updates.

Design Refined: A Sleeker and More Rounded Aesthetic

The leaked images focus primarily on the bottom of the device, highlighting the S Pen slot, side buttons, and rear camera lenses. Notably, the S Pen slot appears to have been repositioned even closer to the edge compared to its placement on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This subtle shift contributes to a more streamlined appearance.

Furthermore, the phone’s frame exhibits a distinctly rounded design around the corners, marking a departure from the more angular corners of the S24 Ultra. This design choice aligns with the overall trend towards smoother, more ergonomic forms in smartphone design. The images also suggest that the display bezels have been further minimized, promising a more immersive viewing experience.

One UI 7: A Fresh Coat of Paint with Rounded Elements and Revamped Features

Beyond the hardware, the leaked images offer a sneak peek at the One UI 7 software, which is expected to debut with the Galaxy S25 series. The device in question bears the model number SM-S938B/DS and runs One UI 7 based on Android 15, featuring the July 2024 security update.

A prominent design change in One UI 7 is the adoption of rounded UI elements. This is evident in the charging indicator, battery icon, and various elements within the quick settings panel. The quick settings panel itself has undergone a subtle redesign, with a reorganization of widgets and icons for improved usability.

One UI 7 also introduces a refreshed set of stock app icons, contributing to a more modern aesthetic. The camera app’s main menu has been streamlined for a cleaner look, and the time counter in the top left corner of the screen appears bolder for enhanced visibility.

Functionality-wise, the notification tray is now separate from the quick settings panel/control center, offering a clearer distinction between notifications and device controls. This separation aims to improve organization and efficiency in managing notifications and accessing quick settings.

Performance Boost: Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC Confirmed

Complementing the design and interface leaks, the SM-S938B model has also made an appearance on Geekbench, a popular benchmarking platform. The device achieved a single-core score of 2,627 and a multi-core score of 9,404, confirming the presence of the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. This chipset boasts a base clock speed of 3.53 GHz and can reach a maximum frequency of 4.47 GHz, indicating a Snapdragon for Galaxy edition with enhanced performance. The Geekbench listing further reveals that the tested model is equipped with 12GB of RAM and runs Android 15.

These leaks paint a compelling picture of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, showcasing a device that combines refined design, an updated user interface, and powerful performance. While Samsung has yet to officially confirm these details, the leaks suggest that the Galaxy S25 Ultra is poised to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor, setting a new standard for flagship smartphones.
