Bug Fixes Take Center Stage in Android 15 Beta 4.2
The Android beta program team took to Reddit to announce the rollout of Android 15 Beta 4.2, designated as build AP31.240617.015. As the minor point release suggests, this update primarily targets bug fixes. The following issues have been addressed in this release:
- Fixed an issue where live wallpapers would occasionally reset to the default wallpaper after rebooting the device.
- Fixed an issue where the system UI would sometimes crash when switching between apps.
- Fixed an issue where the notification shade would sometimes get stuck in the expanded state.
- Fixed an issue where the keyboard would sometimes not appear when expected.
- Fixed an issue where the device would sometimes become unresponsive when connected to certain Bluetooth devices.
OTA Updates and Known Issues
Pixel 6 and newer devices enrolled in the Android beta program will receive an automatic over-the-air (OTA) update to Android 15 Beta 4.2. The update is relatively small, weighing in at around 61.8MB on a Pixel 8 Pro.
