ASUS has officially confirmed that its next generation of gaming smartphones, the ROG Phone 9 series, will launch next month featuring the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The company has revealed the precise date and time for the launch event, offering a glimpse into the design and anticipated specifications of the device.
Launch Date and Time
The ASUS ROG Phone 9 series is scheduled to launch on November 19th at 12:00 PM CET (4:30 PM IST). This information was shared by ASUS on its official X handle and a dedicated microsite has been created with a countdown timer leading up to the event. The launch event is expected to be live-streamed on the same page.
Design
From the initial teasers, it appears that the ASUS ROG Phone 9 will share design similarities with its predecessor, the ROG Phone 8, particularly with the pentagon-shaped rear camera panel. However, the edges of the new phone seem to be more rounded. The power button and volume rockers are positioned on the right side of the device. The back panel features two ROG logos; while the iconic symbol will not be colorfully lit as in the previous model, the ROG text logo will be LED-lit. The front display is expected to have a punch-hole cutout to accommodate the selfie camera. The phone will be available in two color options: a dark variant and a light variant.
