BSNL Surges Forward with New Connections and 4G Expansion in Andhra Pradesh

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is experiencing a wave of growth in Andhra Pradesh, with a remarkable 2.17 lakh new connections added in July alone. This surge, attributed in part to recent tariff adjustments by private telecom operators, has propelled the total number of BSNL connections in the state to a substantial 40 lakhs. Notably, 90% of new users are opting for the Rs 249 recharge plan, a testament to its appeal with its 2GB daily data, unlimited calls, and 100 SMS per day for 45 days. The company proudly shared this milestone and user preference on X (formerly Twitter).

4G Services: A New Era for BSNL in Andhra Pradesh

BSNL is on the cusp of a transformative leap with the upcoming launch of its 4G services in major cities across Andhra Pradesh, starting August 15th. This highly anticipated rollout is expected to spark a renewed interest in BSNL SIM cards, and the company is proactively facilitating the transition by conducting special camps to help users seamlessly upgrade from 2G to 4G SIMs. The convenience of these camps, combined with the allure of faster and more reliable connectivity, is likely to draw a significant influx of new users to the BSNL network.

Expanding Connectivity to Every Corner of Andhra Pradesh

BSNL’s ambitions extend beyond urban centers, with a determined focus on extending its network to the farthest reaches of Andhra Pradesh. By the end of September, the company aims to activate 4G services across the entire state, underpinned by ongoing infrastructure development efforts involving antennas, base transceiver stations (BTS), and core network works. This comprehensive expansion is set to bridge the digital divide, bringing the benefits of high-speed internet to even the most remote tribal areas. To achieve this, BSNL is actively deploying 1,200 new towers in villages across various districts, including Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, East Godavari, and Kurnool.

BSNL’s Future in Andhra Pradesh

With a rapidly expanding user base, the imminent launch of 4G services, and a robust network expansion strategy, BSNL is poised to reshape the telecommunications landscape in Andhra Pradesh. The company’s commitment to providing affordable and accessible connectivity, coupled with its focus on technological advancements, is set to redefine the way people communicate and connect in the region.
