The company has inaugurated a new Injection Molding facility at its Greater Noida plant, reinforcing its commitment to the “Made in India, Made for India” initiative. As a leading home appliances manufacturer in India, this development strengthens the brand’s local manufacturing capabilities and enhances production efficiency.
Groundbreaking Ceremony Led by Key Dignitaries
The official ground-breaking ceremony was presided over by Hon’ble Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, along with Mr. NS Satish, President, Haier Appliances India. Also in attendance were Mr. Anurag Yadav, Principal Secretary of IT & Electronics, and Mr. Ravi Kumar NG, CEO Greater Noida Authority. This milestone underscores Haier’s commitment to ‘Made in India, Made for India’, fostering local manufacturing, driving innovation, and contributing to the economic growth of the country.
Haier’s Investment Plan for 2024-2028
Between 2024-2028, Haier has pledged an additional investment of over ₹1,000 crore, aiming to generate employment for 3,500 more people. This initiative will play a crucial role in enhancing the economic growth of Uttar Pradesh while supporting Haier’s strategy to expand its manufacturing footprint in India.
Increased AC Production Capacity and Injection Molding Advancements
The upcoming AC factory will feature an annual production capacity of 2.5 million units, boosting the existing 1.5 million units to a total of 4 million units. Additionally, the new Injection Molding facility will optimize the production of key components, improving overall manufacturing efficiency across Haier’s product categories.
With 90% of appliances being manufactured locally by Haier India, these facilities will significantly reduce import dependency, ensuring faster production cycles to cater to the increasing demand for Haier’s products in India and neighboring markets.
State Government’s Support and Industry Collaboration
During the event, Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary, Government of Uttar Pradesh, remarked,

Haier’s Manufacturing Journey in India
Haier’s manufacturing presence in Uttar Pradesh began in 2019 with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Since then, Haier has invested over ₹1,400 crore (between 2019-2023) and directly employed 3,500 people in the state.
Since its entry into India in 2007, Haier India has steadily expanded its local production, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and localized manufacturing. The company established its first manufacturing facility in India in 2007 at Ranjangaon, Pune, Maharashtra, marking a significant commitment to the Indian market.
