Haier Introduces AI Climate Control Air Conditioners for India’s Summer

Haier AI Climate Control Range

Haier India has announced the launch of its latest range of air conditioners featuring AI Climate Control technology, specifically designed for the Indian summer. The company, recognized as the top global major appliances brand for the past 16 years, claims this new series offers personalized and intelligent cooling for homes across India.

According to Haier, these air conditioners are equipped with “India’s only AI Climate Control” system, which automatically adjusts cooling based on user preferences and environmental conditions. This aims to provide both comfort and energy savings.

The AI Climate Control technology includes three main features:

  • AI Climate Assistant: This feature learns user cooling habits to personalize the experience with minimal manual adjustments.
  • Electricity Monitoring: Users can set energy consumption targets (daily, weekly, or monthly) to track and optimize energy usage.
  • AI ECO Mode: This mode dynamically regulates cooling output to maintain the desired temperature while minimizing unnecessary power consumption.

Mr. NS Satish, President of Haier Appliances India, stated that this launch represents a “first-of-its-kind technology in India” and sets a new benchmark for the industry. He emphasized the integration of intelligence, efficiency, and sustainability in these air conditioners, which are designed and manufactured in India to meet the specific needs of the local climate.

The new ACs are engineered to provide strong cooling even in high temperatures. They also feature anti-corrosion coatings and Hyper PCB technology to enhance durability.

While Haier claims its AI Climate Control is unique in India, other companies like Samsung have also launched AI-powered air conditioners in the Indian market with features like AI Energy Mode and SmartThings integration for remote control and monitoring. These systems also aim to optimize energy use and enhance user experience.

The Indian air conditioner market is experiencing significant growth, driven by rising temperatures and increasing demand for cooling solutions. Projections indicate a substantial Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) in the coming years. Several brands, both domestic and international, compete in this market, with Voltas currently holding the largest market share. Haier is also recognized as a significant player, holding a notable share in the inverter split air conditioner segment.
