There are two primary ways to install the Android 15 Beta:

1. Enrolling in the Android Beta Program

This is the simplest method.

  • Visit google.com/android/beta [invalid URL removed] [invalid URL removed] and opt-in with your eligible device.
  • Once enrolled, your Pixel will receive an over-the-air (OTA) update notification.
  • Download and install the update.

2. Sideloading the Android 15 Beta

This method is for more advanced users and involves manually installing the update using a computer.

  • Download the OTA File: Download the appropriate OTA file for your specific Pixel device from Google’s developer website.
  • Boot into Recovery Mode: Power off your Pixel. Then, press and hold the Power button and Volume down button simultaneously until you see the bootloader screen. Use the volume buttons to navigate to
  • Recovery mode and select it with the Power button.
  • Navigate to ADB Sideload: In Recovery mode, select “Apply update from ADB.”
  • Connect to Computer: Connect your Pixel to your computer using a USB cable.
  • Install ADB Tools: Ensure you have ADB and Fastboot tools installed on your computer. These are available from the Android Developers website.
Sideload the OTA: Open a command prompt or terminal window on your computer and navigate to the directory containing the ADB tools. Enter the command adb sideload <filename.zip>, replacing <filename.zip> with the actual name of the OTA file you downloaded.
  • Reboot: Once the installation is complete, reboot your Pixel.

Important Notes:

  • Back Up Your Data: Before proceeding with either method, back up your important data as a precaution.
  • Unlock Bootloader (Sideloading): If you choose to sideload, it’s strongly recommended to unlock your bootloader or enable OEM unlocking in developer settings. Unlocking the bootloader will wipe your device, so back up your data first.
  • By following these steps, you can successfully install the Android 15 Beta and explore the latest features on your Google Pixel!
