HP and Canva Team Up to Enhance Design and Printing Services
PALO ALTO, Calif., May 28, 2024 – HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) has announced a global partnership with Canva, the visual communication platform, to empower millions of Canva users to design online and print locally.

Key Highlights:

  • HP and Canva collaborate to offer design-to-print services for Canva’s 185 million monthly users.
  • The partnership aims to provide accessible and scalable printing solutions worldwide.
  • Canva will use HP’s extensive global print network to expand its printing capabilities.
  • HP becomes one of Canva’s Enterprise customers to improve internal collaboration.

Expanded Printing Services for Canva Users

This collaboration aims to benefit both HP Print Service Providers (PSPs) and Canva users, allowing seamless design and printing within a fully integrated system. The deal will enable Canva users to design and print without compromising quality.

“This partnership will deliver significant strategic value and fuel customer growth across both organizations,” said Cliff Obrecht, Canva co-founder and Chief Operating Officer.

Canva, founded in 2013, has over 185 million monthly users, including 95 percent of the Fortune 500. The launch of Canva Print in 2017 has allowed users to design and print a variety of products, including business cards, brochures, flyers, stickers, and apparel, experiencing substantial growth with millions of orders annually.

Sustainable and Localized Printing

Through this collaboration, Canva users will gain access to professionally printed products from HP PSPs globally. Canva plans to expand its print service to 150 countries by 2026, aiming to reduce its carbon footprint through localized operations.

Automation and Efficiency with HP Software

HP’s automation software, HP PrintOS Site Flow, will help Canva extend its reach by automating production and shipping processes for PSPs. This end-to-end solution streamlines print jobs with features like auto-scheduling, color consistency, security, and barcode tracking.

“We’re excited to partner with HP to accelerate the expansion of Canva Print. HP’s advancements in cloud software and digital print have been central to our Canva Print expansion,” said Jim Towle, Head of Print and Partnerships, Canva.

Canva Enterprise for HP Teams

Earlier this month, Canva launched Canva Enterprise, a new subscription option for large organizations. As part of the agreement, HP will implement Canva Enterprise, allowing HP’s global teams to create, collaborate, and publish visual content efficiently.

“Today’s announcement with Canva highlights HP’s commitment to impactful partnerships. Canva Enterprise will boost our team’s design productivity by eliminating bottlenecks,” said Haim Levit, Senior Vice President and Division President of HP Industrial Print.

Commitment to Sustainability

The collaboration between HP and Canva aligns with their shared commitment to sustainability. By promoting localized production, they aim to deliver high-quality design materials while reducing environmental impact.
