India's Car Market Heats Up with New Launches This October
India's car market heats up this October! New launches from Nissan, Kia, BYD, Jeep, & Mercedes-Benz. EVs, SUVs, MPVs - discover what's coming.

The Indian automotive market is buzzing with excitement this October, with a slew of new car launches across various segments. From facelifted favorites to all-new electric vehicles, there’s something to pique the interest of every car enthusiast. Let’s take a closer look at some of the most anticipated launches this month.

Nissan Magnite facelift

Nissan has begun accepting bookings for the Magnite facelift, with a launch date set for October 4th. Interested buyers can secure their order with a token amount of Rs 11,000, and deliveries are slated to commence on October 5th. This updated model promises to enhance the appeal of the popular subcompact SUV.

Kia Carnival

Kia opened the order books for its new Carnival on September 16th, with a booking amount of Rs 2 lakh. The official price announcement is scheduled for October 3rd. The Kia Carnival MPV is expected to be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 191 BHP and 441 Nm of torque, mated to an automatic transmission.

Kia EV9

Alongside the Carnival, Kia is also gearing up to launch the EV9 electric SUV in India on October 3rd. The EV9 will feature a 99.8 kWh battery pack, providing an impressive ARAI MIDC-Full range of 561 km. With dual electric motors generating 379 BHP and 700 Nm of torque, the EV9 promises exhilarating performance, boasting a 0-100 km/h sprint time of just 5.3 seconds.

BYD eMax7

BYD will expand its electric vehicle lineup in India with the launch of the eMax 7 electric MPV on October 8th. Replacing the e6 MPV, the eMax 7 is expected to utilize a 71.8 kWh battery pack, powering an electric motor that produces 201 BHP and 310 Nm of torque. BYD claims a range of up to 520 km on a single charge.

Jeep Meridian facelift

While an official date hasn’t been confirmed, Jeep is anticipated to introduce the facelifted Meridian SUV to the Indian market this October. The Meridian facelift is expected to receive subtle design updates while retaining its 2.0-litre diesel engine (168 BHP and 350 Nm) and the choice of a 6-speed manual or 9-speed automatic transmission.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed the launch of the sixth-generation E-Class long-wheelbase (LWB) in India on October 9th. The new E-Class LWB will be available with 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and diesel engines, both equipped with a mild-hybrid system and a 9-speed automatic transmission.
