Mahindra Launches Scorpio Classic Boss Edition for Festive Season
Mahindra has launched a special Boss Edition of the Scorpio Classic with dark chrome accents, enhanced interiors, and added features. This dealer-level upgrade offers a more stylish and practical take on the popular SUV.

Mahindra has launched a special edition of its popular SUV, the Scorpio Classic, just in time for the festive season. Dubbed the Boss Edition, this new variant boasts a range of cosmetic enhancements both inside and out. It’s important to note that this is a dealer-level upgrade, essentially an accessory pack that adds to the visual appeal of the standard model.

Exterior Enhancements

The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition receives a number of dark chrome appliques on the exterior. This includes the front grille, fog lamp housing, bonnet scoop, rear quarter glass, headlamps, and tail-lamps. Furthering the rugged aesthetic, Mahindra has added rain visors, a front skid plate, and a rear guard with black powder coating. The wing mirror caps get a faux carbon-fibre finish for a touch of sportiness. A rear-view camera has also been added for improved practicality.

Interior Upgrades

Inside, the Boss Edition features black seat upholstery and a “Comfort Kit” that includes cushions and neck pillows for added comfort.

Powertrain Remains Unchanged

The Scorpio Classic Boss Edition retains the standard model’s 2.2-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. This powerplant produces 132hp and 300Nm of peak torque, delivered to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Market Positioning

While the Scorpio Classic doesn’t have any direct rivals in its segment, it presents a rugged and capable alternative to popular midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos, particularly for those prioritizing a 7-seater configuration.

With the Scorpio Classic Boss Edition, Mahindra offers a compelling package for those seeking a rugged and stylish SUV with added practicality and comfort. While pricing remains to be seen, the Boss Edition builds upon the Scorpio Classic’s strengths, making it an even more attractive proposition in the competitive Indian automotive market. It caters to buyers looking for a distinctive and capable SUV without venturing into a higher price bracket. The combination of visual enhancements and practical additions like the rear-view camera and comfort kit should resonate with customers seeking a value-packed offering this festive season.
