Mahindra Thar Roxx: A Glimpse into the Feature-Rich Interior Ahead of Launch

Mahindra Thar Roxx

Mahindra has offered another sneak peek at the Thar Roxx, building anticipation for its August 15th debut. This teaser reveals a wealth of features and the interior layout of this upcoming SUV. Notably, many of these features, while familiar to other Mahindra models, will be a first for the Thar, potentially making it the most well-equipped vehicle in its class.

Mahindra Thar Roxx: Key Features and Interior Design

The Thar Roxx’s cabin will showcase a dual-tone aesthetic, with soft-touch materials accented by contrasting stitching on the dashboard. Leatherette seats in light hues will add to the upscale ambiance. Additionally, a panoramic sunroof will enhance the open-air feel, while two large screens, likely borrowed from the Scorpio N, will serve as the infotainment and driver display centers.

Thar Roxx’s Technological and Safety Enhancements

While the teaser suggests the absence of dual-zone climate control, a notable addition is the Harman Kardon audio system, promising a premium auditory experience. On the safety front, the Thar Roxx is expected to come equipped with six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control, and a 360-degree camera. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) may also be included, further elevating its safety credentials.

Engine Options and Anticipated Pricing for the Mahindra Thar Roxx

Under the hood, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is likely to share its engine options with the Thar 3-door, including a 2.0-liter turbo petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel unit, potentially with different tuning. There’s also the possibility of a 1.5-liter diesel engine similar to the one found in the rear-wheel-drive Thar.

The Mahindra Thar Roxx is projected to have a starting price of ₹ 13 lakh (ex-showroom). This competitive pricing positions it as a formidable contender against rivals like the Force Gurkha 5-door and the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
