Maruti Suzuki's Upcoming Car Launches
Maruti Suzuki is set to expand its lineup with 4 new cars by 2025. The new Dzire, 7-seater Grand Vitara, electric eVX, and hybrid Fronx facelift offer exciting options for Indian buyers.

India’s leading automaker, Maruti Suzuki, is gearing up to expand its already extensive lineup with four exciting new models across various segments. These upcoming launches include sedans, SUVs, and even electric vehicles (EVs). Let’s delve into the details of these much-anticipated Maruti cars.

The New Generation Dzire

The first on the list is the new generation of India’s beloved sedan, the Dzire. Expected to hit the market by September 2024, the new Dzire is built on the platform of the latest Swift and is expected to sport a fresh exterior design with a revamped grille and headlamp setup.

Inside the cabin, the new Dzire is expected to offer a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push-button start, wireless charger, automatic climate control, and an Arkamys sound system, among other features. Additionally, the new Dzire may also include a sunroof and blind-spot monitoring. The price is expected to be between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 12 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The Grand Vitara 7-Seater

Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara has already captured the hearts of Indian buyers. Building on its success, the company is planning to launch a 7-seater version of the model. The new model is likely to be offered with hybrid powertrains and is expected to launch by the end of 2024 or early 2025. The price is expected to range from Rs 20 lakh to Rs 25 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The 7-seater Grand Vitara will be longer than its 5-seater counterpart, with a redesigned rear to differentiate the two models. The interior design is expected to remain largely unchanged, with features like a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and wireless charging. Maruti Suzuki might also add features specifically for third-row passengers, such as dedicated AC vents and USB charging ports.

The Maruti eVX

Next in line is the Maruti eVX, Maruti Suzuki’s first electric SUV. While initially expected to launch before the end of 2024, the brand is now expected to unveil the new model at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The launch is expected to take place in Europe and Japan first, followed by India in the first half of 2025. The price is estimated to be between Rs 21 lakh and Rs 27 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

The Maruti eVX SUV is developed using Toyota’s 27PL platform. In terms of features, the eVX is expected to come with dual-connected screens, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, wireless charger, ambient lighting, a premium sound system, dual-zone AC, and more. The SUV will be powered by a 50-60 kWh battery pack offering a claimed range of 450-500 km, while the lower-spec variant is expected to have a smaller 48 kWh battery pack.

The Maruti Fronx Facelift

The final model on the list is the Maruti Fronx facelift. This facelifted SUV is expected to be the first car to be underpinned by Maruti Suzuki’s new hybrid technology. The Fronx facelift is expected to be launched by 2025, with a price hike of Rs 70-80k for the hybrid model.

The Maruti Fronx facelift might have minor cosmetic changes compared to the current model. In terms of features, the Fronx facelift could get new additions like a cooled glove box, puddle lamps, and a rear armrest. There is also a possibility that Maruti Suzuki will add a sunroof to the Fronx. The hybrid model will utilize the recently launched 1.2-litre Z12E petrol engine mated to an electric motor, with expected power figures to remain similar at 80 bhp. After testing the hybrid technology on the Fronx facelift, the brand plans to offer the same tech on more models in the future.

With these four new models, Maruti Suzuki is poised to further strengthen its position in the Indian automotive market. The company’s focus on innovation, technology, and customer satisfaction is evident in these upcoming launches, catering to a wide range of preferences and budgets.
