MG Windsor EV Undergoes High-Altitude Testing in Ladakh Ahead of Festive Season Launch

MG Motor India is preparing to expand its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the MG Windsor EV, slated for a festive season launch. As anticipation builds, MG has released a teaser video showcasing the Windsor EV undergoing rigorous high-altitude testing in the challenging terrains of Ladakh. The video captures the camouflaged electric crossover navigating the treacherous Chang La and Wari La passes, demonstrating its resilience and capability in one of India’s most demanding environments.

The Windsor EV is set to become MG India’s third electric vehicle offering, following the MG Comet EV and ZS EV. While detailed specifications are yet to be officially revealed, it is anticipated that the Windsor EV may share the 50.6 kWh battery pack with the Cloud EV, potentially with modifications to optimize its range for Indian conditions.

Inside the cabin, the Windsor EV is expected to boast a modern and tech-savvy ambiance, featuring a prominent 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and power-adjustable front seats for enhanced comfort. MG is also likely to prioritize safety, equipping the Windsor EV with six airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to ensure a secure driving experience.

With its launch planned during the festive season, the MG Windsor EV is poised to make a splash in the Indian electric vehicle market. While official pricing details are yet to be announced, industry estimates suggest a starting price of around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a compelling option for eco-conscious consumers seeking a stylish and capable electric crossover. As MG continues to tease the Windsor EV’s capabilities through high-altitude testing videos, the excitement surrounding its launch continues to grow.

The MG Windsor EV’s high-altitude testing in Ladakh serves as a testament to MG’s commitment to delivering a robust and capable electric vehicle for the Indian market. As the festive season approaches, the Windsor EV is poised to make a significant impact, offering a compelling blend of style, technology, and performance for eco-conscious consumers. With its anticipated launch, the Windsor EV is set to further solidify MG’s position as a leading player in the Indian electric vehicle landscape
