Nothing has unveiled its latest true wireless earbuds, the Nothing Ear Open, in India. This marks the company’s first foray into open-ear headphones, offering a unique alternative to their existing in-ear models. While retaining the signature transparent design found in other Nothing products, the Ear Open adopts a distinct aesthetic reminiscent of classic Bluetooth headsets.
Price and Availability
The Nothing Ear Open is priced at Rs 17,999 in India and is currently available for pre-order exclusively through the company’s official website. It comes in a single White color option, with no information on additional colors at this time.
Innovative Features
The Ear Open stands out with its open-ear design, similar to the Nothing Ear Stick. This design choice eliminates active noise cancellation (ANC) but incorporates a Sound Seal System and directional speakers to ensure an immersive listening experience without disturbing those around you. Additionally, the earbuds boast an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance, making them suitable for workouts.
Technical Specifications
Each Ear Open earbud houses a 14.2mm driver and offers bass boost functionality. The earbuds provide up to 8 hours of battery life on a single charge, extending to 30 hours with the included charging case. The case itself features an LED charging status indicator and packs a 635mAh battery. Connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.3 with support for dual connection, allowing simultaneous pairing with two devices. Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair are also supported for quick and easy setup.
Additional Features
The Nothing Ear Open incorporates AI-powered Clear Voice technology for enhanced call quality and a Low Lag Mode with latency under 120ms, catering to gamers. Notably, the earbuds come with built-in ChatGPT support, offering a unique integration of AI assistance.
