Ola Electric Scooters Get Even More Affordable: Prices Slashed by Up to Rs 25,000

Ola Electric is ramping up its efforts to boost sales of its electric scooters in the Indian market. As part of this strategy, the company has announced a price reduction of up to Rs 25,000 on its S1 models, including the S1 Pro, S1 Air, and S1X+ (3 kWh). This price cut is valid for a limited period throughout February.

New Prices and Previous Offers:

  • S1 Pro: Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), down from Rs 1.55 lakh
  • S1 Air: Rs 1.05 lakh (ex-showroom), down from Rs 1.30 lakh
  • S1X+ (3 kWh): Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom), down from Rs 1.10 lakh

This marks the second price adjustment for the S1 models in recent months. Last month, Ola Electric offered a discount of up to Rs 20,000 on the S1X+ and additional benefits like a free extended warranty and exchange bonus on the S1 Pro and S1 Air.

MoveOS 4 Upgrade Enhances Features:

Coinciding with the price cut, Ola Electric also unveiled MoveOS 4, the latest iteration of its scooter software. This update brings several new features and performance enhancements, including:

  • Safety: Hill hold, hill descent control, and tamper warning
  • Convenience: Garage mode, quicker hypercharging, better regeneration, profile controls
  • Entertainment: Care Mood, Concert mode
  • Range: Extended range
  • Accessibility: Enhanced proximity unlock

Future Plans: Electric Motorcycles and Car

Ola Electric is also expanding its horizons with plans to launch electric motorcycles in the future. These motorcycles will cater to different segments with models like Diamondhead, Cruiser, Adventure, and Roadster. However, the launch timeline for these motorcycles remains unrevealed.

The company also has ambitions to enter the electric car market, having teased a concept car on multiple occasions. However, details and timelines for this project are also scarce.
