Ola Electrifies the Market with Launch of Roadster Pro Electric Motorcycle

Ola Electric has expanded its electric vehicle lineup with the introduction of the Roadster Pro electric motorcycle in India. This high-performance motorcycle is available in two variants based on battery capacity: 8kWh and 16kWh. The 8kWh variant is priced at Rs 2 lakh, while the 16kWh variant carries a price tag of Rs 2.5 lakh, both ex-showroom.

Power and Performance

The Ola Roadster Pro boasts a powerful 52kW electric motor that delivers a peak torque of 105Nm. The 16kWh battery variant can accelerate from 0 to 60kmph in a mere 1.9 seconds and achieve a top speed of 194 kmph. With its impressive range of 579 km on a single charge, the 16kWh battery variant ensures extended riding experiences.

Design and Features

The Roadster Pro features a unique design with the battery positioned where one would typically find an internal combustion engine (ICE). The motorcycle is built on a sturdy steel frame and features USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear for a comfortable ride. Braking is handled by a pair of discs at the front and a single disc at the rear, with ABS included as standard for enhanced safety.

Ola has equipped the Roadster Pro with a host of modern features, including a new 10-inch TFT touchscreen display. Riders can choose from four riding modes – Hyper, Sport, Normal, and Eco – to tailor their experience. Additionally, two customizable modes offer further personalization options.

Future Enhancements

Ola Electric has announced plans to introduce the MoveOS 5 software update in the future, which will bring additional features to the Roadster Pro. These include three-step traction control, anti-wheelie functionality, geofencing, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) for improved safety and control.

Availability

Reservations for the Ola Roadster Pro with the 8kWh battery will begin on August 15th, with deliveries expected to commence in the fourth quarter of FY 2026.
