Oppo has unveiled its latest additions to the Reno family, the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro, in the Chinese market. These smartphones are the first to showcase MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8350 chipset. This customized version of the Dimensity 8300 maintains the same CPU, GPU, and NPU capabilities as its predecessor while offering enhanced performance tailored specifically for Oppo devices.
Performance and Connectivity Taken to the Next Level
Both the Reno13 and Reno13 Pro are powered by the Dimensity 8350, promising a smooth and responsive user experience. Oppo has also integrated its in-house X1 chip to further enhance wireless connectivity, ensuring seamless communication and data transfer. Durability is a key focus with this series, as evidenced by the IP69 ingress protection rating. This certification assures resistance against dust and water damage, making the Reno13 series suitable for even challenging environments.
Photography Prowess
The Reno13 series excels in the camera department. Both models feature a 50MP main camera with the Sony IMX890 sensor, complemented by OIS for stable and blur-free images. An 8MP ultrawide lens expands your photographic horizons, allowing you to capture breathtaking landscapes and group photos. The Reno13 Pro takes it a step further with a dedicated 50MP telephoto camera, providing an impressive 3.5x optical zoom for capturing distant subjects with clarity. Videography enthusiasts will appreciate the ability to record 4K video at 60fps on both devices.
Immersive Visuals and Intuitive User Experience
Oppo has prioritized an immersive viewing experience with the Reno13 series. The Reno13 boasts a vibrant 6.59-inch AMOLED display with crisp FHD+ resolution and a buttery-smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The Reno13 Pro offers a slightly larger 6.83-inch panel, maintaining the same FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate for an equally captivating visual experience. For selfies and video calls, both phones are equipped with a high-resolution 50MP selfie camera. Security and convenience are addressed with an optical under-display fingerprint scanner, allowing for quick and secure device unlocking.
Software and Battery Life for Extended Usage
The Reno13 series runs on ColorOS 15, based on the latest Android 15, offering a user-friendly interface with a host of customization options. Battery life is a strong suit, with the Reno13 packing a substantial 5,600 mAh battery and the Reno13 Pro housing an even larger 5,800mAh battery. Oppo’s fast charging technology is on full display with support for 80W wired charging, ensuring minimal downtime. Additionally, both models support 50W wireless charging for added convenience.
