Get ready for a new wave of mid-range smartphones as realme unveils its exclusive “P Series,” designed specifically for the Indian market. The series, with P standing for Power, promises a performance-packed experience tailored to the demands of Indian consumers. Realme has partnered with e-commerce giant Flipkart to make this series available across the country.In a move that solidifies its position in the competitive smartphone market, Realme has introduced its much-anticipated P Series smartphones in India, promising cutting-edge technology and innovative features. With the launch of the Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ models, the company sets new standards in mobile technology, emphasizing its commitment to quality and consumer satisfaction.

Following the success of its numbered and GT series, realme is expanding its portfolio with the brand-new “P Series.” According to realme Vice President, Chase Xu, the series aims to revolutionize the mid-range smartphone segment by delivering value-driven premium features to young Indian users. Realme is confident that the P series will compete strongly with offerings from brands like vivo’s T Series and iQOO’s Z Series.

The design philosophy behind the P series emphasizes a connection with Indian culture. Realme has collaborated with noted Indian visual artist P.S Rathor to infuse the phones with unique design elements inspired by the country.The inaugural devices under the P series are expected to launch in the second week of April. Reports suggest the realme P1 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset for strong performance, while the realme P1 Pro could feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1. Both phones are likely to sport high-refresh-rate AMOLED displays, providing a smooth and vibrant viewing experience.

Realme is targeting the Rs 15,000-25,000 price segment with the P Series, putting them in a highly competitive space. Realme India business strategy lead, Tarini Prasad Das, has expressed their aim to dominate this price segment in 2024 and has hinted at aggressive pricing for the series.The India-exclusive focus underscores realme’s dedication to serving the needs of the Indian market. Realme has already achieved great success here, selling over 100 million devices in the country by 2023. The brand is optimistic about reaching a sales milestone of 50 million smartphones in partnership with Flipkart, thanks in part to the P Series.

The Realme 12 Pro Series arrives with notable enhancements, particularly in camera technology and design aesthetics. The Realme 12 Pro is equipped with a 16MP front-facing camera, while the Realme 12 Pro+ boasts a 32MP front camera with a Sony sensor, both ensuring crystal-clear selfies and video calls. These devices are designed to cater to the demands of modern consumers, offering robust features like an in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C audio, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and Hi-Res Audio for an immersive sound experience​.

Moreover, both models are IP65 rated for dust and splash resistance, indicating a significant focus on durability. Connectivity options are extensive, supporting 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, and more, ensuring users stay connected at blazing speeds. The battery capacity is generous at 5000mAh, supported by 67W SuperVOOC fast charging, which promises rapid power-ups, keeping users on the move without frequent charging interruptions.

Available in Submarine Blue and Navigator Beige, with an India-exclusive Explorer Red version for the Realme 12 Pro+, these smartphones are not just powerful but also visually appealing. The Realme 12 Pro is priced starting at Rs. 25,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model, while the Realme 12 Pro+ begins at Rs. 29,999, making them accessible to a wide range of consumers seeking premium features without the premium price tag.

Realme’s spokesperson highlighted the series’ advanced periscope telephoto technology and the MasterShot Algorithm, developed in partnership with Qualcomm, underscoring Realme’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of mobile imaging. The collaboration with designer Ollivier Savéo for a luxury watch-inspired design further exemplifies Realme’s pursuit of excellence in both functionality and aesthetics​​.This launch not only reinforces Realme’s commitment to innovation and value but also challenges the norms of what consumers can expect from their smartphones.
