Leaked CAD renders reveal Samsung Galaxy A36 5G's fresh design, featuring a hole-punch display and revamped camera module.

Samsung appears to be gearing up for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G, the successor to its popular mid-range offering, the Galaxy A35 5G. While official details remain scarce, leaked CAD renders have surfaced online, providing exciting insights into the design and potential features of this upcoming smartphone. These renders, brought to light by Giznext in partnership with renowned tipster Steve H.McFly (@Onleaks), suggest that Samsung is poised to introduce a fresh design language for the A-series.

A Refined Aesthetic

One of the most striking changes evident in the CAD renders is the hole punch cutout centrally positioned at the top of the display. This design choice, a departure from the Galaxy A35 5G’s waterdrop notch, allows for a more immersive viewing experience with minimal screen interruption. The bezels surrounding the display appear slim, further enhancing the phone’s modern appeal.

Flipping the device over reveals a reimagined camera module. The Samsung Galaxy A36 5G appears to sport a triple camera setup housed within a pill-shaped enclosure. This vertical arrangement, a stark contrast to the previous model’s camera layout, adds a touch of sophistication to the rear panel. Interestingly, the position of the flash remains consistent with its predecessor, residing just below the camera module.

Dimensions and Ergonomics

The leaked CAD renders also provide clues about the phone’s dimensions. The Samsung Galaxy A36 5G is expected to be sleeker and more compact than the Galaxy A35 5G, measuring 162.6 x 77.9 x 7.4mm compared to 161.7 x 78 x 8.2mm. This reduction in size, particularly in thickness, could contribute to a more comfortable grip and improved one-handed usability. The renders also show the power and volume buttons located on the right edge of the device.

Under the Hood

While the CAD renders primarily focus on the external design, rumors about the internal specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G have also begun to circulate. A Geekbench listing hints at the presence of a powerful octa-core chipset, possibly the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. This, combined with 6GB RAM and an Adreno 610 GPU, promises a significant performance boost over the Galaxy A35 5G. Furthermore, the device is anticipated to run Android 15 out of the box, offering the latest software experience.

With its revamped design, upgraded internals, and the latest Android version, the Samsung Galaxy A36 5G has the potential to be a compelling contender in the mid-range smartphone segment. As we await official confirmation from Samsung, these leaked CAD renders provide an exciting preview of what’s to come.
