Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Leaks: From Price & Release Date To Camera & Battery, Here’s What We Know So Far

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Leaks
Discover the anticipated features of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, from its expected release and price to advancements in camera and battery performance.

The latest buzz surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra includes several noteworthy updates and enhancements, setting the stage for its expected unveiling early in 2025. Positioned as a top-tier model in Samsung’s smartphone arsenal, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is anticipated to showcase several refinements, particularly in its performance and camera capabilities.

Expected Launch and Cost

Rumors point to a January 23, 2025 release date for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, during the Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco, with sales beginning by February 6. While the pricing remains speculative, the previous model’s introduction at $1,299 and rising material costs, particularly with the incorporation of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, could influence a price increase. However, official pricing details have yet to be confirmed by Samsung.

Design and Visual Enhancements

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is likely to maintain its luxurious titanium frame, a feature first seen in the S24 Ultra, with subtle changes to its aesthetics. Expected enhancements include a larger 6.9-inch display, reduced bezels, and a more ergonomic, curvier design. Despite these tweaks, the smartphone may continue using the existing M13 OLED technology rather than upgrading to the brighter M14 panels available in competitors’ devices. Potential new color variants could enrich the palette, adding unique shades like jade and pink to the standard titanium, black, green, and blue.

Camera Innovations

In the camera department, Samsung seems poised to overhaul its ultrawide lens from 12MP to an impressive 50MP, along with introducing variable focal lengths for the telephoto lens to enable smoother zoom transitions. Contrary to the rumors about reducing the number of telephoto lenses, it appears Samsung will maintain a four-lens configuration to compete with industry leaders like Apple.

Enhanced Performance and AI Capabilities

Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to deliver a substantial boost in efficiency—40% in CPU and 42% in GPU performances over its predecessor. Coupled with a potential increase to 16GB of RAM, these upgrades promise to enhance multitasking and expand on-device AI functionalities. Furthermore, integration of generative AI into its Bixby assistant and other applications is anticipated, aligning with the launch of Android 15 and One UI 7.

Battery Life Expectations

Despite maintaining a 5,000mAh battery capacity, enhancements in chip efficiency are expected to prolong battery life. Charging capabilities are projected to remain consistent at 45W, matching those of the S24 Ultra.
