Bespoke AI Innovations and Features

JB Park, President & CEO of Samsung Southwest Asia, expressed confidence in the Bespoke AI range’s ability to offer smarter living solutions, ease of use for all family members, and efficient home appliance management. The AI capabilities are designed to notify users about maintenance needs, such as filter replacements, directly through the SmartThings App, aiming to streamline household chores and reduce manual monitoring.

Samsung’s Bespoke AI appliances offer a variety of advanced features. For instance, the refrigerator is equipped with an AI vision camera for food recognition and management, suggesting meals based on stored items. The air conditioner allows pre-cooling of the home through geo-fencing technology, while the washing machine adapts wash cycles based on user habits, optimizing for energy efficiency and fabric care.

Saurabh Baishakhia, Senior Director of Digital Appliances at Samsung India, highlighted the potential of AI to revolutionize the smart home experience, indicating a strategic move to strengthen Samsung’s position in the premium appliance segment.

Environmental Impact and Energy Savings

Samsung’s initiative extends beyond convenience, focusing on sustainability. The company reports significant energy savings across its appliance range due to the AI Energy Mode—up to 10% in refrigerators, 20% in air conditioners, and 70% in washing machines. Additionally, CO2 emissions are notably reduced, exemplifying Samsung’s commitment to reducing environmental impact.

The introduction of Bixby AI Voice Assistant and Smart Forward services ensures appliances remain up-to-date with the latest features and maintenance alerts, further enhancing user experience and appliance longevity.
