Truecaller, a platform for verifying contacts and blocking unwanted communication, has expanded its partnership with Tanla, a leading Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) provider in India. This collaboration, initiated in 2022, has now evolved into a master distributor model, enabling access to Truecaller’s Business Messaging product through Tanla. This move is aimed at facilitating other CPaaS and communication-focused companies to utilize Truecaller’s platform for more effective and trustworthy business communication.

Alan Mamedi, CEO and Co-founder of Truecaller, emphasized the success of the collaboration with Tanla, highlighting the benefits for both parties and the enterprises that utilize the messaging service. He stated, “The new partnership with strengthened collaboration ensures growing usage of the platform and opportunities to serve more business customers via Tanla’s network.”

The partnership targets reaching Truecaller’s extensive user base in India with engaging and relevant business messages, offering advantages like lower costs, quicker deliveries, and enhanced insights over traditional SMS methods. The messaging platform is designed to support a variety of media formats, including photos, videos, and documents, which aims to improve conversion rates and return on investment for brands.

Uday Reddy, Founder Chairman & CEO of Tanla, also expressed enthusiasm about the deepened partnership, noting the customized solutions that can now be provided to enterprises thanks to the advanced messaging capabilities and multimedia support.

This collaboration is part of Truecaller’s broader strategy to grow its Truecaller for Business segment, which has seen significant revenue growth since its inception in early 2021. The company reports that Business Messaging, along with its Verified Business offering, has been a key revenue driver, a trend expected to continue with the expanded partnership.
