Leaked renders suggest the Xiaomi 15 Pro will closely resemble its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Pro, with subtle design tweaks and upgraded internals. The most noticeable change appears to be the rear camera module, which now positions the LED flash separately from the camera sensors. Despite rumors of a larger 6,000mAh battery, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is said to weigh less than the Xiaomi 14 Pro.
Design and Colors
The leaked renders showcase a familiar design language, with a square rear camera module housing three sensors and a Laser AF sensor. The Xiaomi 15 Pro is expected to be available in Black, White, and Silver, with a Titanium edition also rumored.
Key Specifications
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 15 Pro is tipped to feature the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, a 6.78-inch quad-curved 2K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 16GB of RAM, and 1TB of onboard storage. The camera system is expected to include a 50MP Light Fusion 900 series primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a new 50MP Sony IMX858 5X telephoto lens/macro camera. A 32MP front camera will handle selfies. Like its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will carry Leica branding for its camera system.
Additional Features
The Xiaomi 15 Pro is also rumored to pack a range of high-end features, including an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, an IP68 rating, HyperOS 2.0 with up to 5 years of Android updates, and satellite connectivity for the Titanium model. Fast charging capabilities are said to include 90W wired, 80W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Launch Date and Rumors
A leaked poster suggests the Xiaomi 15 series launch could take place on October 23rd. Interestingly, this poster also claims the new Qualcomm chipset will be called Snapdragon 8 Elite instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Xiaomi has yet to officially confirm these details.
