Leaked iPhone 16 Design Reveals New Features and Dimensions
Discover the exciting new features of the upcoming iPhone 16 revealed through the latest leaks, including a new camera design, larger display sizes, and innovative control buttons.

Apple is set to revolutionize its smartphone line once again with the upcoming iPhone 16, according to recent leaks that showcase a slew of new design elements and functional enhancements. Expected to be released in September 2024, the new iPhone 16 series has been the subject of various rumors, culminating in detailed images of dummy units that offer the clearest look yet at what consumers can anticipate.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models are reportedly getting a significant makeover in their camera systems. The new designs feature a vertical camera alignment as opposed to the diagonal setup seen in previous models, which aligns with Apple’s push towards enhancing its photographic capabilities, especially with regards to spatial video recording capabilities that are now expected to be a standard feature across the range.

In addition to camera adjustments, the iPhone 16 series will introduce an ‘Action Button’ and a ‘Capture Button’. The Action Button, which made its debut on the iPhone 15 Pro models, will now be standardized across the entire lineup, providing users with quick access to a range of functionalities like activating the flashlight or camera. The newly introduced Capture Button, which is a fresh addition, promises to enhance photo and video capture, offering tactile feedback and the ability to control zoom and focus with simple gestures.

Size-wise, the iPhone 16 Pro models will be larger than their predecessors, with the iPhone 16 Pro expected to boast a 6.3-inch display and the iPhone 16 Pro Max a 6.9-inch display, slightly increasing the overall dimensions of the devices while maintaining a similar thickness to the current models. This size increase will be accompanied by minor adjustments to the phone’s weight but is not expected to dramatically alter the user experience in terms of handling.

Moreover, technological improvements include the adoption of micro-lens arrays (MLA) in the OLED panels, aimed at enhancing screen brightness and reducing power consumption without a significant increase in battery demand. The device’s bezels will also be slimmer due to new Border Reduction Structure technology, which allows for more efficient circuit layouts under the display.

While many details about the iPhone 16 series are still shrouded in rumors, these leaks provide a tantalizing glimpse into the design philosophy Apple is adopting for its next generation of smartphones, emphasizing usability and technological integration.
